Recently, Chief Simpson, along with Chief Hoppes and Chief Tull, announced the formation of the Shift Training Officer (STO) position. This position is designed to be the interface with the department training committee and the training division (Lt. Jester) in order to improve our common approach to training related activities. Key functions include: Coordinate weekly shift training exercises Act as single point of contact for Lt. Jester regarding communication Manage shift training records and certification / re-certification requirements for assigned members Elevate the training and performance efficiency of each shift Provide input on short and long term training needs and wants, and much more!
