Kitchen Fire For B Shift - 616 Hunting Park Dr.

On June 7 at 5:45pm, stations 16,1 and 3 were alerted to 616 Hunting Park Dr. for a reported house on fire near the Salisbury Fruitland border. Engine 16 responded with 3 personel along with the assistant chief, along with the ladder truck from station 1 also with 3 personel. The assistant chief(O'barsky) arrived on scene with a 2 story wood frame, with smoke showing from the A side. The engine from 16 arrived and laid a line from a hydrant at the corner of Hunting Park and Riverside and began to stretch to the front door, while the ladder from 1 arrived almost simultaneously and began laddering the structure. Engine 301 arrived and dropped a line from a second hydrant, with tanker 305 completing the split lay. Crews inside found a fire in the kitchen and extinguished the same, with little extension. All searches proved negative, and command called the incident under control after approx 20 minutes. Cause of the fire was from an unattended pan on the stove.
