Salisbury Fire Department

Salisbury Fire Department stations 1,16,2 along with Fruitland Fire Department station 3 were dispatched to a commercial building fire in the 600 block of S. Division St. Asst. Chief O’barsky arrived and confirmed a working fire in a commercial structure. Crews attempted a aggressive interior attack before Chief O’barsky ordered everyone out and changed strategies to a defensive attack. Several large hand lines along with ladder pipes from truck 2 and tower 16 were placed in-service before bringing the situation under control. One subject was in the building when the fire started but self evacuated and was not injured. One fire fighter was treated on-scene for burns.
