Members of the Salisbury Fire Department, representing all the departments of the City of Salisbury, made a donation at tonight's city council meeting to Women Supporting Women. The donation was in the amount of $3,135.00. The proceeds were raised through the sale of pink t-shirts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), a Cornhole Tournament, and the Greene Turtle's Organization Appreciation Night. The check was presented by Fire Chief Rick Hoppes, Assistant Fire Chief Darrin Scott, Acting Lieutenant Chris Truitt, and Firefighter/Paramedic Aaron Colegrove. Present to accept the donation were Marly Lynk and Sue Revelle of Women Supporting Women.
