Salisbury Fire Department

At 00:20 Hours, Stations 2, 16, and 1 were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1800 block of North Salisbury Blvd. (Boulevard Motors). Engine 2 arrived and reported smoke showing from a single story commercial building, side Bravo garage doors.  The crew from Engine 2 stretched the initial attack line and forced entry into side Bravo. The crew from Engine 16 arrived and stretched a second hand line to side Bravo to assist Engine 2 with suppression. Tower 16 arrived and went to work opening up the building. Truck 1 arrived and made entry into side Alpha and checked for extension in the office area. Crews remained on scene for a short time for overhaul and to provide lights for the Fire Marshal. The Fire Marshal’s office determined the cause of the fire to be a faulty battery charger.
