After the Fire Program on Martin Street
Saturday, January 4, 2014
The Salisbury Fire Department has a long-standing program whereby its members will saturate a neighborhood after it has been impacted by a fire, in an effort to make sure there are working smoke alarms in each home in the neighborhood. That tradition continued today as a fire in the Martin Street area unfortunately damaged a home in that neighborhood yesterday. A total of 15 homes were visited, with 9 occupants granting access to the fire department in order to check for working smoke alarms. A total of 2 new smoke alarms were installed as well as 4 dead or dying batteries replaced.
