Salisbury Fire Department

Around 20:00 hours Wicomico Central alerted Station 16 for the auto fire in the 1200 block of Pocahontas Ave in Salisbury.  Central advised Engine 16-1 while en route that they had received reports of a "truck on fire with exposures to a nearby house."  Engine 16-1 (Lt. Morris) arrived on scene to find a well-involved SUV in the driveway with exposure to a house and another vehicle.  The crew from Engine 16-1 quickly extinguished the fire preventing any damage to surrounding exposures.  Upon extinguishment, the fire was deemed as being suspicious in nature so Maryland State Police and Maryland State Fire Marshal were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
