Salisbury Fire Department

Just after 10:00 hours Sunday morning Wicomico Central alerted Stations 2 and 16 for the MVC with one pinned in the area of N Salisbury Blvd and Liberty St.  The crew from Station 2 was able to clear a MVC in another part of the city to respond on the call in addition to Rescue 16 and Paramedic 16.  Truck 2 arrived on scene to find a two car MVC with one subject pinned in the vehicle, as reported.  Units from 16 along with Assistant Chief 1 (Insley) arrived on scene shortly after and immediately began vehicle stabilization and patient care as the crew from Truck 2 provided operational support and pulled a hoseline for protection.  Within minutes crews on scene were able to extricate the subject pinned.  Paramedic 1 and Ambulance 16-1 were added to the call to evaluate other patients on scene.  Upon packaging and transport of all patients, Truck 2 and Rescue 16 returned to service and the scene was turned over to Salisbury PD.
