Captain Rob Frampton of the Salisbury Fire Department has successfully completed the process that awards him the professional designation of "Fire Officer" (FO) by the Commission on Professional Credentialling (CPC). The CPC recently met to officially confer the designation upon Captain Frampton and he is one of only 199 FOs worldwide.
The CPC awards the FO designation only after an individual successfully meets all of the organization's stringent criteria, which include an assessment of the applicant's education experience, professional development, technical competencies, contributions to the profession, and community involvement. Applicants are also required to identify a future professional developmet plan.
The CPC is a part of the Center for Pubic Safety Excellence, Inc., and consists of individuals from academia, federal and local government, and the fire and EMS profession.
Captain Frampton also recenty attained his Masters of Science Degree in Emergency Health Services from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. Captain Frampton completed classes relating to Disaster Management (Response, Mitigation, and Recovery), Resource Allocation, Budgeting, and High-Performance Response Systems.
Captain Frampton was also required to complete a Capstone Project, whereby he created a program that lowered costs for diabetic EMS calls by developing a partnership with local hospitals to create outreach programs that provide education, awareness, and medical supplies to constituents of the Salisbury Fire Department.
Catain Frampton's degree will prepare him for future leadership roles and the department is extremey proud of Rob and his numerous accomplishments and contributions to the department and the citizens of Salisbury.
