E16 has had a busy day thus far! After completing morning apparatus checks and station duties, crew members attended a community safety fair held in the Church St neighborhood. Members distributed fire safety literature to adults and fire prevention goodies to children. Tours of E16 were a big hit as well! After the fair, the crew returned to the scene of the recent N Division St fire for some follow up. While there, crew members also began an After The Fire program, going door-to-door of neighborhood homes to check resident's smoke detectors. Members replace batteries or install new alarms as needed. This is a free service provided to all SFD fire district constituents. For more information, contact www.salisburyfd.com.
