Salisbury Fire Department

At 0647 hours, station 16 was alerted for the report of a dryer on fire inside a residence in the 700 block of Riverside Rd. Medic unit 16 was clearing the hospital and just blocks from the address, adding themselves to the call. Medic 16 arrived only a minute later, with an end of the row townhome with smoke issuing from the front and rear doors. The medics crew found a dryer on fire in a front room and kept it in check with the occupants extinguisher while Engine 16 arrived and stretched a bumper line to the front door. The engine crew was able to extinguish the fire before it was able to spread to any other rooms of the home.
