Salisbury Fire Department

At 11:32:39, Stations 16, 2, and 1 were alerted for a reported building fire at Smokin' Hot BBQ, located on 1000 West Isabella Street. Engine 16-1 arrived in less than 2 minutes and reported a light volume of smoke showing from the rear of the structure.

Engine 16-1 secured the closest plug and layed a 5" supply line into the scene. Command was established by 21B (Bridges). The crew of the engine investigated and found that the grill outside flared up upon opening and burnt through part of the screen surrounding the outside cooking area.

An employee shut the grill down and the fire was controlled. No smoke extended into the building. There was no fire extension within the structure.
