Salisbury Fire Department

On Tuesday, June 9, 2015, Salisbury Fire Department was alerted for a reported structure fire located at 602 RIdge Road. Crews arried on scene with smoke showing from the eaves of a split level, single family dwelling. The crew from E-16-1 entered the residence through the front door and found smoke and heat conditions. Upon performing a search, 2 dogs were pulled from the lower level. Despite the best efforts of the EMS crews on scene, both dogs were pronounced deceased. Truck 2 performed primary search of the first and second floors. Truck 1 assisted with secondary search, and salvage and overhaul of the lower level. AC1 had command. ET1-1, AU1, E2 also on location for relief and rehab. Situation was placed under control. Units then cleared the scene to respond to a second reported fire.
