Salisbury Fire Department

Members of the SFD, along with Sparky the Fire Dog, paid a visit to the Wicomico County Free Library on Wednesday 29 July 2015.  Firefighters delivered safety messages pertaining to home escape routes, getting out and staying out, establishing meeting places in the event of a fire, and other safety aspects.  A firefighter donned his protective gear to show the transformation from his duty clothes into his turnouts and breathing apparatus, and then interacted with the children to ensure they wont be afraid should they ever encounter a firefighter completely dressed out.

Sparky the Fire Dog even came along and was a huge hit with the children, ages infant to 10.  Approximately 80 people were in attendance and everyone had a great time!!
