Salisbury Fire Department

The Salisbury Fire Department responded to the 800 block of Fitzwater Street for a reported Hazmat on the Wicomico River. Fireboat 1 pulled a 300 foot section of boom around the leaking barge to isolate and mitigate the leak. The fuel was pumped out of the breached compartment to ensure no further leaks. MDE, Coast Guard, and the National Response Center were notified of the situation.
