Salisbury Fire Department

Salisbury and Fruitland units responded to a commercial structure fire just before 1630 hours on S. Salisbury Blvd. Arriving units found a large wood frame structure with a working fire. Command requested a seconded alarm and two additional tankers due to no hydrants in the area. A draft site was established at Tony Tank Pond 1100 feet away from the fire.Mutual Aid from Allen, Hebron and Delmar were also requested. Initial crews found two rooms heavily involved with fire and some extension into the attic. An aggressive interior attack and timely ventilation made a quick stop to this fire. The cause is under investigation.
