Salisbury Fire Department

Firefighters Townsend and Dudek provided assistance to local Boy Scouts as part of the Delmarva Boy Scout Council Merit Badge College.  Today's event was the second part of the Fire Safety Merit Badge class with 25 Scouts ranging in age from 11-16 attending.  This is the second year FF Townsend has assisted the group. 

Scouts learned about extinguishers, home escape plans, the fire tetrahedron, construction principles, campfire safety, and were able to don full turnout gear to see what it's like to be a firefighter.  Each class was approximately 2 hours in length.
