At the 124^th Maryland State Fireman’s Association Convention in Ocean City, MD, FF/Paramedic Jason Stimis was awarded the Colburn Trophy Award for his outstanding act of heroism.  The award is to be awarded in line of succession from year to year to a firefighter in the MSFA for some outstanding act of heroism or from some act for the good of the Association.  FF/Paramedic Stimis received his award for his actions at a house fire on Sylvia St. in July 2015.  FF/Paramedic rescued a 2 y/o boy from the second floor of a residential structure fire.  Jason entered the structure, without the protection of a hose line, and removed the child safely down a ladder to awaiting EMS crews.  Congratulations Jason on your excellent work and bravery.
