Salisbury Fire Department

Salisbury, Fruitland and Hebron  Fire Companies were alerted for a house fire around 2:20 pm today. The address was in the 700 block of S. Division St. Salisbury Units arrived on location to find a one and half story single family with smoke coming from the attic. Crews stretched an attack line to the 2nd floor where they found thick smoke and hoarding condition. Crews worked for some time trying to locate the fire. After opening up the ceiling on the 1st floor and cutting several holes in the roof crews were able to locate the seat of the fire and extinguish it. Fire crews remained on scene for extensive overhaul. A City Road crew was called in to spread salt onto the road due to freezing conditions. The house was occupied at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
