Salisbury Fire Department

Shortly after noon, the SFD was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 200-block of Newton St.  Crews were already working on a reported apartment fire and several units were re-directed to the Newton St. fire.  TWR-16 arrived on location with smoke showing from the first floor.  AC-1 arrived and assumed Command.  E-1 arrived and placed two handlines in service.  Multiple units were on the scene and assistance was requested from Sta. 74 (Delmar) and Sta. 5 (Hebron).  Crews contained the fire to the first floor.  Red Cross, State Fire Marshal, and SPD assisted on the scene.
