New Officer Swearing In Ceremony - Fire Headquarters

The Salisbury Fire Department hosted a new officer swearing-in and service award recognition ceremony on December 14th at Fire Headquarters. Mayor Jim Ireton and City Administrator John Pick spoke on behalf of the city, as well as Fire Chief Jeff Simpson. Members of the department were recognized for their years of service to the department and City. Darrin Scott was sworn in as the newest Assistant Fire Chief for the Salisbury Fire Department. His family was at his side to pin his badge and collar pins, a fire department tradition. Seven Acting Lieutenants were sworn in that evening as well. FF/NREMT-P Eric Cramer, FF/EMT-B Joe Derbyshire, FF/NREMT-P Rob Frampton, FF/EMT-B James Jester, FF/NREMT-P Nick Kinhart, FF/EMT-B Brooks Morris and FF/NREMT-P Chris Truitt. They also had loved ones or mentors pin their collar pins. The evening convened with a potluck dinner to celebrate the occasion. The Salisbury Fire Department congratulates these firefighters on their achievements and promotions and wishes them continued success in their careers.
