Salisbury Fire Department

Station 16 was alerted for an MVC with injuries. E161 responded with 20C and 3. While en route central advised a car ran up telephone pole. PM 16 responded with 2. PM 16 arrived o/l confirming taxi up a guide wire on the corner of E. Market St. and Rt 13. E161 arrived and 20C established Market St. Cmd. PM 16 had 1 pri 3 pt. to PRMC. The car was suspended on the guide wire and was being held in place by the rear bumper and fuel tank. Crew placed a 100 ft 1 3/4 line in service for protection when the tow service lifted the car off the wire. Cmd set up a perimeter with caution tape due to the overwhelming spectators. Once the car was removed from the guide wire,the tow service loaded up the vehicle and took it away. Roadway was cleared and reopened to traffic flow.
