House Fire With Subject Reported Trapped
Wednesday, October 9, 2013

At 05:00 Hours, Stations 16, 1 and 2 were dispatched to a house fire in the 200 block of Lincoln Ave. Assistant Chief 1 (Donaway) arrived and confirmed smoke showing from the 1st floor of a 2 story single family dwelling and established command. Engine 16 arrived, secured their water source, and stretched an attack line to the living room on the 1st floor to extinguish the fire. Engine 2 arrived and placed a 2nd line in service to back-up Engine 16. Tower 16 arrived and was confronted by an occupant stating there was someone still inside on the 2nd floor. The crew from Tower 16 made their way to the 2nd floor and made a quick search, however searches determined that no one was trapped on the 2nd floor and all other searches were negative.  The fire was reported under control by command at 05:25. Units were released shortly thereafter.
