Salisbury Fire Department

The Salisbury Fire Department is an all hazards department and we need to be ready for any emergency.  On Monday, 12/14, personnel from the SFD worked together to conduct training on ropes and rigging.  The purpose was to review how to secure a patient in a stokes basket and prepare the ropes/rigging for lifting and lowering them.  We also worked on how to attach an EMS provider so they can descend with the patient and how to lift and lower a provider to the scene. By reviewing and practicing our skills regularly we are ready to quickly and safely respond to any emergency.
