The SFD Jr Fire Academy Will Be Held June 17th-21st 2019

The 2019 Junior Fire Academy is a free, week long summer camp event for children in grades 3-5. Camp will take place at Station 16 from 9:00-12:30, June 17th-21st. Campers tour the firehouse, learn essential fire safety rules, meet career and volunteer members, and train using the tools and equipment firefighters use every day. Once students complete Session 1 of camp, they are eligible to return for the following years, completing activities which review the knowledge that was gained in previous sessions and build upon that knowledge.
