Salisbury Fire Department

Around 1930 hours stations 16, 2, and 1 were dispatched to a house fire in the 300 block of Delaware Ave. Assistant Chief Gladwell arrived and confirmed fire in the kitchen of a 2.5 story balloon frame single family dwelling. Engine 16 arrived and stretched an attack line to the kitchen and made a quick knock on the fire. Truck 1 and 2 arrived and searched the floor above and checked for extension. The crew from Engine 1 were assigned RIT and set up on side A. All searches were negative and no one was injured. Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time for overhaul.
