On any given day there are numerous entries made 'below grade' within the SFD district. These entries could pose a significant rescue effort should they ever turn bad. On Sunday Sept. 29th, A-shift and Sta. 16 Volunteers participated in a confined space training exercise. Crews simulated lowering a rescuer, with the tri-pod, into a manhole where they connected to a simulated patient. The patient and the rescuer were lifted out of the manhole safely.
